Welcome to ISSP 2017

The ISSP 2017 will be hosted by Tianjin University. Tianjin has a reputation throughout China for being extremely friendly, safe and a place of delicious food. Welcome to Tianjin to attend the ISSP 2017.

 

ISSP is a triennial conference with the aim of providing an interdisciplinary forum for researchers working on all aspects of speech production from fields as diverse as phonology, phonetics, prosody, mechanics, acoustics, physiology, motor control, neuroscience, computer science and human interaction. The 11th International Seminar on Speech Production (ISSP 2017) will be held on October 16-19, 2017 in Tianjin, China.

The ISSP 2017 is the continuation of a series of seminars dating back to Grenoble (1988), Leeds (1990), Old Saybrook (1993), Autrans (1996), Kloster Seeon (2000), Sydney (2003), Ubatuba (2006), Strasbourg (2008), Montreal (2011) and Cologne (2014).

The ISSP 2017 will be hosted by Tianjin University, the first university in China and the pioneer of modern higher education in China. Tianjin was the ancient port city to Beijing, and is China’s third largest city with a population of over 15 million. It has a rich history and remains characteristics of old British and Italian architecture. The famous Italian concession area has the largest cluster of old Italian architecture outside of Italy. Located 85 miles east of Beijing, Tianjin is the largest coastal city in northern China. Tianjin is now a modern, developed city. Tianjin has a reputation throughout China for being extremely friendly, safe and a place of delicious food. Welcome to Tianjin.
